its a switch, No matter what switch you own it should be good for gaming.
Analogy: If a road is a computer, then a direct connection is a continuous road. when two computer are connected to 1 router port its like an intersection. A switch is like a stop sign, all it does is halt traffic so they don’t interfere.
No matter what switch you get, its still going to act the exact same. (note if you buy business level switches they act more like a traffic light which can prioritize the connections)

Well yes, because they are using the same incoming connection you are, and share the same throughput. Your latency may also change depending on how well your ISP/Router/Switch handles traffic.
All GigE ports_should_ automatically sense a connection to another switch port and handle the uplink switching for you.
