Just one question, if my download speed is 5Mbps and up speed is 1Mbps (average speed in my country) should i just get your “cheap recommendation” instead of my pretty bad router from the ISP? Or it won’t make any difference?

Nice video i learned a lot.. but im still wondering something. It was a while (10 years) since i got my home internet but over the years i realized it was a lot slower than many of my friends internet. I have currently a Netgear WND3300. I have the same internet provider plan as my cousin and his speed is 100x faster. My Download speed is 1.2 Mbps which i found out was real bad. Im wondering then that its the router at fault. Im considering of getting TP-Link AC5400 or TP-Link AD7200. Can you tell me what you think i should do? Thanks <3

1400 sq’ house, Asus RTN66R, Paying for 250Mbs download, Laptop and pixel pull in 200Mbs 15′ from the router, drops to 100 in 1 bedroom and 50 in the far bedroom. It’s acting funny and we want to replace it. Bonus, Gigabit service just launched in our area and we are going to upgrade to that. So need a new modem and new router, Speed is great, but really really really need something with a strong signal. Please no more Asus routers, these things are so buggy and prone to burning out way too soon.

Helmner says:

Hi, can someone help me choose between the “Nighthawk X6” or the “Asus AC88u/AC5300”. Which one would be better for a fairly large space with many walls and will deliver best performance with a fiber connection?

Shadow Hip Hop says:

1. Is your internet providers modem or any modem needed with one of these routers or can you give back the modem ?

2. If so how do you go about buying and setting one up?

I game here and there trying to figure out the way to get the best signal with multiple devices connected at the same time.

nice video thanks bro..

A Alberto says:

I’ve upgraded my wifi to a netgear orbi mesh system and replaced my asus AC5300 router. My home is fairly large and I could not be any happier with my purchase. I get stronger and faster speeds almost everywhere in my home with no dead zones. I would not go back to a single router setup again; I don’t care what any manufacturer brags/lies about their latest greatest SINGLE wifi router, such as the new routers with 60ghz AD standard: this band cannot penetrate walls, therefore people are stuck with the usual AC and N bands.

evilwarcow says:

Your voice. I love it. And you keep to the point, keep it short, sweet, simple, and you explain stuff very well. Wish I could show this video to some people that I deal with on the phone at work as someone who helps with computer technology help. But the people who I work for would skin me alive.

techfreshness says:

Kenny Mager says:

Thanks for the great info. Helps me.

Vurcz Da Vigilante says:

I’m on my second asus ac88u in the last 3 weeks. 5ghz radio just stops broadcasting. Amazon is sending me a third replacement. If it doesn’t work what’s the router you would recommend for gigabit connection? I’m getting about 950 down, 920 up with the asus.

Ralph M says:
