I got this to extend my range from my older Linksys wrt310 but I got exactly the same range. Any one know whats wrong?

Victor Parker says:

Does this work with Verizon FiOS? They claim I need to use one of their routers but I’m skeptical on that one.. I currently use the FiOS Quantum gateway G1100 and have internet speed of 75mb/s download and upload. If someone can confirm that this works with FiOS, I’d probably buy this router. I will be needing a modem with this too, right?

Rusty Shackleford says:

Sooo what do you do if the Netgear genie doesn’t work and it says I’m getting limited connect? (Btw I do have internet service, it even work before I tried to log on to change my password)

Kristopher Bishop says:

If I got this router would my internet company charge me more money a month

OLDMAN01570157 says:

Yes I have a question about my router R7000. I have a new Wireless camera its has 6 cameras and 3 little router that runs two camera per unit. But it run on the same 2.4 GHz and like to know it you know how to tweak the router and the channels do not help me. I will appreciate any advice you could give me. The company that I purchase them from will not help me. Thank very much.

Kathrine says:

You’d better search online reviews first as it appears that there is a known issue that Netgear refuses to deal with and fix.  I’ve been an IT System Administrator for over 20 years and I would not buy another Netgear product again after dealing with their support which doesn’t admit there is a known problem.
I had the Netgear WNDR3400 and never had any trouble with it.  I bought the Nighthawk R7000 and for $200 and my experience with other Netgear hardware I thought this unit would be great.  The configuration lets you lock down your wireless and looked like an excellent product for the money.
I have had nothing but trouble with it.  The Nighthawk r7000 is constantly going down. I upgrade firmware and it craps out and I have to redo the configuration. I get up in the morning and no wireless, I have to reboot it.  Sometimes it goes down 2-3 times a day. The other day I got up and again no wireless, I rebooted and that didn’t fix it. I go into the configuration and it says the wireless is turned off.  First time I had this issue and you have to hold the wireless button on the front for about 10 seconds to turn it back on.
This is ridicules that this unit has so many issues. Of course it’s now out of the 90 warranty and Netgear says as long as the correct lights are on it not a hardware issue so pay us to troubleshoot or fix it yourself.  When the device is a lemon, you can’t fix that!

DIOcelot says:

They have this at the Walmart I work at. Tempted to buy this but still $199.99 is a lot 🙁

Tim Wilson says:

What is the stand he has the router sitting in?

The Deitz says:

I wasted a lot of time trying to get a NETGEAR ROUTER to work. It turned out that the issue was a non compatible issue. Neither of the two Netgear Routers I purchased would work, my first purchase was a Netgear16 AC1750 and then a Netgear17 AC 1900. Neither one would work with my Spectrum Cisco DPC 3216 Modem.
My third and last purchase was a LINKSYS WRT 1900AC and that worked just fine and was easy to install and config.
BTW I found the Linksys 1900 AC at Sams.
The following stores did not have any Linksys in stock: Best Buy, Staples and Costco … but they had a lot of non-compatible Netgear Routers :-/

James Winters says:

This video is waterboarding. Can you NOT go so slow saying what is obvious such as paperwork, switches, three antennas , here’s some lights. I don’t mean to be so ungrateful but good grief.

Thicc Tommy says:

This is the most unstable router I’ve ever had.

Kelly Dawson says:

excellent wireless router.

MasonNFL12 says:

I’m currently using frontier internet and it is very bad. Will this router allow me to play online games (call of duty) on the PS4 with less lag?

J Sharp says:

I bought this and now my iPhone 6s Plus constantly buffers and sometime won’t even load the picture to click for YouTube videos. Can’t even get my full speed of 45Mbs with it. I’m gonna troubleshoot for another week and if it doesn’t get better I’m returning it.

Jano867 says:

Lol I’m trying to hack the internet right now

Chris Celestine says:

Is it good for Playstation too? Lol

Defcon 1 says:

I bought this router and it’s amazing, I have no problems, you should get this router. Every spot in my house and my yard is covered, before I had this router, I had a Netgear 802.11N router, it only covered half of my house.

NotoriousPhD says:

Just got a gigabit internet plan for my house, I have about 10 devices, would this be okay for that or should i pitch in another $100 for the r8000?

Firas Jobran says:

I love this router!!!!!!!!!

phatrides222000 says:

jon says:

Wow, he realls just read the box for 5 mins…. Vid starts ar 5:00

Zyphyn says:

do I need to have a Internet provider or does netgear have one

Vishaldeep Singh says:

Hello, I was wondering if this router would be good for us, Our house is around 3000 sqr ft, we currently have a D-Link Ac 750, It is placed in the front corner of the house next to the tv, my room is half way for the router to the side, and I get around 1 bar or 2 if in lucky and it barely works, my speed with 3 bars is 25 down 25 up and when I have 1 bar I have 0.55 down 1 up and even on 2 bars it’s super slow around 1 down and 0.88 up. If I buy this router would my speed and range increase(by speed I mean at 2 bar and 1 bar connections) respond asap thank u.

ItaloDiscoFreak77 says:

Good router, just installed my R7000 with cat 6 cables and I’m incredible happy

Ajibola Giwa says:

Is this also a modem + router?

Wez XBL says:

To Xbox One gamers! I have this router with my internet setup and playing on the Xbox One with the current XB1 OS is terrible. This is a issue with the xbox one servers NOT the router/netgear. Apart from mentioning that, This router is to put it politely THE BOLLOCKS lol. Its features are amazing and port forwarding and getting a OPEN NAT Type is easy. Regular firmware updates are released by Netgear every 1-2 months which is pretty good. Faster update releases than Microsoft for there Xbox One haha. This router on my Xbox360 is just amazing aswell. On Call Of Duty that has the system info features built into the MP part of the games my Bandwidth reads ALWAYS 10000kbps as it should :). Always getting host on my brilliant 152MB connection. I recommend this router to anybody that wants fast & reliable internet whether you download big files on your pc or play on games consoles. But just note currently on the XB1 there are server issues that degrade your broadband/ true bandwidth resulting in playing Call Of Duty Advanced Warfare your connection will 95% of the time will be 3bars and your bandwidth will most likely never read any more than 4231kbps & reading as low as 300+kbps,Resulting in you getting placed in games with people outside your country and poor game connections + download speeds for DLC ect on the Xbox One Store page.

Anon Kay says:

Need to solder an antenna back on. Cant find anything anywhere on how to actually take this thing apart. Getting livid.
