Can anyone help me i wanna get a new router the one i have keeps turing off all day and my microwave messes it up can i just switch it i have AT&T direct tv is it plug and play or is there any set up involved

Vladimir Olegovich says:

Have you tried to actually use these routers? I bought new TP-Link Archer (firmware bugs, localization protected firmware, almost year without fixing bug and inability to replace firmware with US localization due to localized hangs after week of using uTorrent) and replaced it with Linksys WRT1200AC (also crappy firmware, after week of using uTorrent download speed dropped to 0) that was crap until I changed firmware to built by LEDE. Do not tried ASUS due to complaints about heating and troubles with power supply (actually one that my friend has stopped working). Or you just read specifications?

DragsFire3oh2 says:

I have a big bulky Hitron router that Mediacom gave me…when I test it through a wired connection with the Xbox one x it shows over 250 mbs..but when I check it through my phone over the WiFi it’s maybe 100 mbs on a good day…I also have WiFi extenders in the house..is this ok or should I upgrade to one of these routers ?

AnmeKazaki says:

1question i had is that if i buy wifi routers do i have to pay monthly for it? I only need router for My laptop nothing else and i am currently in hotel so do i have to pay SOMETHING and if yes then is it electrisity bills couse hotel can pay for that

Shotgundam009 says:

I have a ASUS ac88u and my god I fucking hate it. Shit constantly disconnects from pretty much any device we used on it lan or wireless. Stay far away from that garbage.

GingerSquatch says:

Netgear is currently being sued for LYING about their range and other suits are to follow!!! For that matter I had to hack my Netgear R6100 WIFI Router just to get it to work after pressing the reset button!!!!

toubal hamza says:

imRamel says:

Can someone explain this to me even tho it might be common sense. If my parents router is downstairs connected to a computer and modem and i want my own personal router, how would i be able to hook it up wirelessly? Would my own router have to stay connected to the modem downstairs or can i move it in my room and use it as a wireless access point? Can two routers even be connected to one modem?

Dawn Elizabeth says:

I love you reading my novel lol! Thanks again and you’re welcome! Take care and thanks!

gary96gt says:

Bad advise. Especially any “sorta mesh” products like the orbi

bobclarie says:

Thanks for your reviews. As an amateur radio operator, RF interference is a real problem these day. I have a Linksys E1200 and it radiates large amounts of RF interference into the amateur shortwave bands, especially the 7 mhz, 40 meter band. Can you recommend a router that has the best rf shielding ? Thanks, Bob

Pedro Bain says:

Should i buy a linkys im a gamer n i also want my wife to stream movies in another room is the best for me

Frankie Rivera says:

Lol idk how honest the video is but I just looked up that ac1900 by linksys and that’s not even the model number associated with the picture at 0:47. Linksys Ac3200 tri-band smart WiFi is the correct name. Didn’t watch the rest of the video so judge the rest on your own.

Oscar_FML says:

You have no idea wtf you are talking about

Ynys Lochtyn says:

Some are modem-routers whilst other are just routers. Better to treat each category separately

william mendoza says:

how much

Kevin McCarthy says:

I have a netgear, it’s an older model about 4 years old. I have never had any problems with it and the Genie is awesome. I can tell which channel im on or if someone has hacked in and I can crontrol all content. I am going to upgrade to the AC1750. Thanks you for pointing me to another Netgear!

Michael Raupp says:

Dont buy Netgear!!!! They charge for customer service!

JASE SALTER says:

Curious to why you left out mesh systems? Most people are getting away from these stationary units as they are becoming less popular. Perhaps you haven’t investigated much on the mesh systems.

Fuziion says:

It’s BITS not BYTES… why is this so hard for most people making informational networking videos to understand…

Killer95strike Channel says:

Man I have that orbi with 2 Sats and it sucks. I miss my old nighthawk xr500

srinivasa murthy karumuru says:

Hi I am a orbi user, it is just wonderful, just adds to whatever modem you have and you get near wired Lan speeds. Pricey but the best in available in the market.

Rainbow creeperYT says:

I dont even have a wifi

Christopher Lien says:

Enjoy your cancer.

Jose Villalobos says:

One comment; speed is measured in bits per second and not bytes. So for example the correct way to say the speed of a LAN port would be 1 gigabit per second (gbps).

Kevin McLaughlin says:

speaking of serial speeds in …Bytes per second shows an ignorance of the technology. I won’t be wasting my time watching
