Dodocool USB 3.0 hub with Built In Ethernet Adapter Review

Buy it on Amazon – (affiliate link)

This is a really versatile and high performance USB 3.0 hub and ethernet adapter. If you have a recent Mac or a Windows tablet this is a great way to expand the number of available USB ports AND gain a fast gigabit ethernet adapter at the same time.

I tested this on a Macbook Pro, a Macbook Air, and an Asus T100 tablet. All worked flawlessly with no driver installation. I attached a solid state hard drive via a SATA to USB 3.0 adapter and found absolutely no performance difference between having it directly connected. Network speeds through the ethernet adapter were as fast as my Mac’s thunderbolt ethernet adapter.

In short this is a great high performance device that is great to have on hand for the times that you need a few more USB ports or a wired network port – or both!

I am not having the luck you had. I bought this and am trying to use it on my MacBook Pro Retina 13″, 2.6 GHz running Mac OS 10.10.5. Nether my AngleBird 500GB SSD2Go or my WD My Book 6 TB drives show up at all.
