This is a video that continues after my installation of the Liftmaster MyQ Control Panel 888LM. It shows the installation and usage of the Liftmaster MyQ lnternet Gateway 828LM. The gateway was easy to install and worked after signing up for a MyQ account online and downloading, installing, and configuring through the Liftmaster MyQ app.

Thanks for the video, it answered my question if it could do multiple doors or if I needed a gateway per lift.

William Kessler says:

Thank you. Answers all the questions I had.

RumbleBones says:

Disappointed this isn’t built into the 8500 series model.

Ken says:

Could you please answer a few questions… Is this a universal divice meaning it will work with any garage door opener?
Does it just replace the existing door bell type button with the one shown in the video allowing me to continue to use my existing remote hand held transmitters? I have an older Sears opener. It uses dip switchs for the hand held transmitters.
If this is just replacing the push buttons on the wall (mine are simple door bell type) then this will solve my problem.
I am curious how it knows the door is opening with no device mounted to door indication the position of door.
Thanks, Ken

Peter Gun says:

Eric, I do not have Wifi access in my garage (separate garage). Will the 828LM gateway still work to control the 888LM? Please advise. Thank you.

Darrell Castleberry says:

Header says 828LM and you’re talking about the 888LM.  Two different models sir.
