Almighty CRT | Gateway VX720 CRT Monitor Review

After a long search, I have finally acquired a CRT monitor. I got this one from my awesome grandma and it is a surprisingly good monitor and can support the resolution of 1600×1200 max and has a max refresh rate of 90Hz. This is the Gateway VX720.

PonySoftOnline says:

CRTs are insane. My dual CRT monitor setup is sooo high res considering they were $10 for both. My 17 inch DELL from 1999 does 2048×1205 at 70Hz and my 15 inch Gateway does 1920×1080 at 60Hz

good for you, but finding a 2 megapixel (effectively 1080p) monitor like the one you shown is next to impossible. can you help me?

i just got a gateway ev700 monitor. it is 1280×1024 60hz, and i had to move the 1080p tv off of my desk to make room for it. and i am loving this monitor.

Maximum of 1600×1200 is original but you can work 1920×1200@60Hz or 2560×1440@60Hz (sorry for flicker at 60Hz ;)). 🙂 I’ve CRT monitor 19″ Samsung SM 957MB (96kHz maximum horinzontal frequency is equal to your CRT monitor) with new EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti SC+ :D.
