While I’ve always used rounded networking cables in the past and have always worked with them in my volunteer work at my church, I’ve gotten used to them. However, after recently buying a similar cable to this one not too long ago, I wanted to get another since my brother wanted to route one to his room to get a faster connection.
In short: It dramatically boosted my internet connection speed by 3 times. It’s very easy to roll up, doesn’t tangle f you’re careful with it, and is very easy and convenient to route along walls or floors. It just looks better in my opinion. As for the performance, its held up very nicely in the past week. It’s currently stationary so it won’t get damaged, but after using these, I don’t want to go back to the rounded cables.
The design and build of the cable itself was very well made. It has little to no noticeable marks on the exterior of the cable of the interior cables or wires that run along inside. As you will see in the video, the thickness of one rounded cable makes up almost 3-4 strands of this cable, so it’s really a space saver. The connector tips are also convenient to plug into devices with little space, as they’re easy to press and pull out.
On your conventional rounded cables, over time, if you roll them up, or bend them a lot, they will develop wrinkles and jagged edges. Over time, they will eventually get damaged. On this cable specifically, I haven’t experience any wrinkles whatsoever in my usage of it, and it’ll be hard to encounter some in the future.
All in all, for the 100 ft model, $17 is a steal. You don’t get these kinds of deals in stores. Sometimes you find a 30 ft cable for maybe double the price of this one. I definitely wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again at full price.
