Your video was just what I was looking for. Thanks for showing all the cable connections. That’s the part that most vids gloss over. Also, I appreciated the order in which to hook up the wires, too. Best of luck to your channed!!!
Hello, I recently purchased the arris Motorola SB6183 modem. I removed all the wires from the old modem and transferred it to the new one. I bought this modem so i can have internet throughout all my devices (not through ethernet connection.) When I did that, the internet was not working. I talked to TWC and they said I need to purchase some kind of wireless cable. I’m still having trouble finding that cable. Is there a way you can help me with this problem?
Yeah man, nice video, everything I need to know. Thank you sir
Did you not notice that the top left of the panel on your modem is popped out you should probably snap that back in place
Thank you this help me out alot
You bought this about 8 years too late!
Very helpful and concise video, thanks!
Let say if I have 1 mbps internet service provider will it increase the speed of that?
Just bought this router last night to replace the Arris router that came with my internet Wow aka Knology that they are charging me 10 bucks for (Which i looked it up on amazon and it had 3 stars go figure) my internet had been dropping out and moving slow all the time and it didnt make sense so then i figured it probaly was the cheap crap router they gave so i bought the exact wireless router and modem you have in the video im hoping this fixes my issues with my internet
thanks quick smiple and easy. I have been through a lot yours was the best
does your router on video necessary to be connected to the compute (switch on) all the time? .. to get wifi..
I believe I saw a dust bunny at 4:32, maybe not…. anyway I’m planning on dropping my DSL for cable, Comcast has 505 Mbps download speeds now and I wont be leasing there modem so i’ll have to look at the one you listed
How do you go about connecting to your computer now? setup?
Thank you!!!
also can i use this but still have my cable provider’s wifi router for the rest of my household
I have a question, do I NEED to have the coaxial cable on my modem at all times in order to work??
can i put another modem in another room for a hard connection… no way to run cat6 between floors
Hi, new cox customer here, and stumbled upon your video. I’ve been using the modem/router box provided by cox for 4 days. However, I only attach two things (power and coaxial), from the box to the wall instead of three. Internet works fine. Is it still gonna work If i only use the 2 things as I did before or will I need to buy an extra cable now?
Wait I thought this is a router and a modem
it helped a lot thank you 🙂
you’re doing God’s work
Does it work if your trying to have a second wifi in you house?
I have Time Warner Cable Is it necessary to connect the SurfBoard to the current modem they proved with a ethernet cable OR can I just hook up the surfboard by itself
Is the 141 that much better than the 121 which is $20 less? I have comcast with four people in the apartment and the 75 mbps xfinity package? I am thinking about getting the Archer C7 router to go along with the modem! Thanks for the help!
Does it cost anything extra to use one of these, or is the ISP just enabling your internet to work through the Coax cable?
