Stop paying the modem rental fee from Comcast. It’s very easy to add your own modem to your Comcast internet. I’ll show you how I set mine up here. The process is the same for a DOCSIS 3.0 or DOCSIS 3.1 modem.

the netgear cm1000 can handle 6 gbps but the Ethernet port only handle 1 gbps same as pc, the arris docsis 3.1 is the same but i believe it has 2 Ethernet ports instead of 1 both limited to 1 gbps each , so with the box saying can handle much more is misleading to me

I just Purchased a similar one (black color), brand new, but off the street. I called Xfinity but they couldn’t connected cause it comes as blacklisted CMAC #… so my question is, am I screwed?
