Connecting An Arris DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem To Comcast Internet

Stop paying the modem rental fee from Comcast. It’s very easy to add your own modem to your Comcast internet. I’ll show you how I set mine up here. The process is the same for a DOCSIS 3.0 or DOCSIS 3.1 modem.

This video was made with vMix 20 software.

Curtis Hall says:

the netgear cm1000 can handle 6 gbps but the Ethernet port only handle 1 gbps same as pc, the arris docsis 3.1 is the same but i believe it has 2 Ethernet ports instead of 1 both limited to 1 gbps each , so with the box saying can handle much more is misleading to me

uindy4 says:

Are you going to upgrade to 2 gigabit speed with Comcast?

I just Purchased a similar one (black color), brand new, but off the street. I called Xfinity but they couldn’t connected cause it comes as blacklisted CMAC #… so my question is, am I screwed?
