Hey Buddy just so you know for future reference Mbps Is not a Megabyte per second. The abbreviation for Megabyte is MB. Mb is megabit which takes 8 Megabits to create one MB. So 50 Mbps is actually 6.25 Megabytes, or about the size of an MP3.

I just bought the SB6183 got an incredible deal on eBay for those that may read this comment it worked out of the Box with Optimum/Cablevision and also Sudden-link (since they’re all the same company AlticeUSA) the setup wizard worked if doesn’t work for you, it is possible to be activating by calling tech support and providing them the HFC Mac Address over the phone..
